Sensirion AG presents its new SHTW2 Xplained Pro Dual Humidity and Temperature Extension Board for Atmel’s SAMD20 Xplained Pro Board. The extension board comes with two SHTW2 humidity and temperature sensors, enabling the development of new applications such as on/off body detection. On/off body detection detects whether a device is worn on a person’s body or not, which allows for smarter battery management that corresponds to the user’s individual needs for battery-driven devices such as headphones, fitness trackers, smart medical devices and VR goggles. The extension board is also an intelligent circuit and can therefore be used in a variety of ways.
